Preventive Measures Security Firm LLC understands that not all properties are the same and do not require the same number of officers, hours, or service type. Accordingly, we offer the following armed and unarmed guard services of on foot patrols and vehicle patrol.
Each assignment has a specific list of Post Orders (a/k/a on the job duties). In addition, most job assignments include:
Tenant access to our 24/7 dispatcher for emergency service calls.
All on-duty security officers and supervisors wear a PMSF duty uniform with proper identification.

Foot Patrol Officers
(armed & unarmed)
Foot patrol officers are on the move throughout your facility and property. They check and secure perimeter fencing and gates, lock property office(s) and amenities (club house, exercise rooms, pools), and check residential laundry rooms and trash areas ensuring removal of vagrants.
They are also available to escort unwelcome persons, terminated employees, and any employee to their vehicle.
The officer will prepare a daily activity report (DAR) for each shift by property, including observations, reporting incidents or suspicious activity. A link to the DAR (with photos and/or video) is emailed each morning to whomever the company designates.
Reporting of community light outages (in DAR) is provided weekly.
Patrol officers may be on foot or have the use of club cars (golf carts). The club cars are equipped with yellow and white security lights and PMSF signage.
Vehicle Patrols
(armed & unarmed)
Patrols performed with a PMSF vehicle: meaning a uniformed security officer operating a PMSF branded vehicle driving the client’s property with security lights engaged.
Each vehicle patrol includes a 20-minute foot patrol of property perimeter and amenities. The officer will perform an inspection of the grounds and for security violations, remove any unauthorized persons and check for unsafe conditions. In the event of a security violation or emergency, the patrol officer will contact 911 (for medical/police assistance) and secure the scene.

Patrol vehicles are equipped with yellow and white security lights and PMSF signage.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department offers a variety of services related to crime prevention and education. Preventive Measures Security Firm supports these three programs.
Las Vegas Crime Free Multi-Housing Program
The Las Vegas Crime Free Multi-Housing Program (LVCFMHP) was incepted in May 1995 by the LVMPD Crime Prevention Detail with the goal of reducing police calls-for-service in apartment communities. This program is based upon the internationally recognized Crime Free Multi-Housing program that was designed in 1992 by Tim Zehring of the Mesa (Arizona) Police Department.
This program provides valuable information about recent crime activity in your neighborhood.

The mission of the Office of Community Engagement (OCE) is to provide resources, contacts and services to the department and our community, and to strengthen community relations through transparent communication and proactive engagement.
